The RedyScore

How the RedyScore works

GetRedy's RedyScore™ is an emergency readiness score displayed on a 0 to 1000 scale, built from 6 dimensions: Shelter, Evacuation, Supplies, Power, Communication, and Health.

860 Example: a RedyScore of 860 falls in the Resilient band.

Requirement versus capability

Each dimension compares what your situation requires against the capability you have built: actions completed, skills learned, and supplies on hand. The requirement comes from your real local hazards and the facts you declare, so the bar is personal. The scoring model is patent-pending.

The score bands

Every score falls into a named band, and the app colors your gauge to match.

Band Score range
Resilient 850 to 1000
Well Prepared 700 to 849
Prepared 500 to 699
Getting Started 300 to 499
Exposed 0 to 299

Built on live official data

The requirement side of your RedyScore draws on 38 live official data feeds chosen for your region: FEMA's National Risk Index, the National Weather Service, and USGS in the United States, with official sources for Canada, Europe, and worldwide. See every data source behind the score.

Scenario modes retune the bar

Pick a scenario and GetRedy retunes what your situation requires and what your plan recommends. Zombie Apocalypse, The Next COVID-19, and The Big One each ask different things of your household, and your score reflects that.

RedyScore questions, answered

What is a good RedyScore?

Immediately when you complete an action or update your household facts. The live hazard data behind your requirement refreshes each time you open or refresh the app.
